How long does it take to get a confirmation for my newly created group, begin preparing my group site and then send out invitations?

if you fully completed the groups set up steps, it should be instant. check to see if the group appears here http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups   if it doesn't, maybe you missed a last step in creating a group
