  1. Don't take it.

Creatine is basically a metabolic waste from the breakdown of our muscles.  The theory is that, by taking creatine, your body may breakdown less muscle and then end up with more muscle.  However, creatine is dangerous and not too useful.  Most of the studies do not show any performance enhancing benefit with athletes taking creatine.  In, fact, creatine can have serious side effect because it can jam up the kidney, causing kidney failure.  Marathon runners who are not well hydrated end up with lots of muscle breakdown, resulting in high creatine and sometimes end up with kidney failure.  Not a good idea.

As a marathon runner and as a physician, I highly recommend for you and anyone out there NOT to take Creatine.

  2. It can do some pretty cool things with your muscles. If your into sporting and have not tried it, your missing out. It's an energy replenisher and also stimulates the growth of lean muscle tissue. It also gives you a great "pumped" feeling in your muscles. It can take your workout intensity through the roof and I'm speaking from experience. If your interested about the abc's of creatine, check out creatinemuscle.com home page. They're not trying to sell you anything, it's just creatine info.

  3. creatine is like a catalyst it will speed muscle growth. by assisting your baby protein. you will get benefit from it but i would not tell you its the best way to go.

when taking it follow the manufacturers instruction. drink a lot of liquid/ water and do weights at lease 3-4 times per week. could say more but you said you r not going to use it.

if you don't follow the instruction and take in lots of liquid you might have tightness issue in legs.
