Creatine serum vs. creatine pills/powder?

what is the best form of creatine for gaining mass? i know they are all pretty much the same but i am sure there is a difference and one works better than the other so which one is it?

  1. The serums are pretty much junk, so are the pills.  Go for the powder form.

    The main problem with creatine supplementation, especially creatine monohydrate, is that the body does not easily assimilate it.  That's because the monohydrate molecule does not bind well with the receptors, and plus monohydrate breaks down easily into creatinine.  This is why so much is taken and people go into loading phases.  This is somewhat solved with the introduction of powder types like creatine ethyl ester, which binds better.

    So go for the powder form and see if it works alright for you.  Keep in mind that creatine doesn't last in solution very long so take it right away after mixing it in liquid.  Creatine monohydrate is really cheap and still pretty popular these days.  Some folks are creatine non-responders or respond better to different forms, so this is something you'll need to experiment on your own to see what works best for you.
