For a class I have to create a class room handbook pertaining to early childhood education. I am looking for some ideas on how to begin and what a person would usually put into a classroom handbook. The book has to be at least 23 pages

  1. google classroom and/or parent handbooks and get an example.  Handbooks should include licensing, discipline policies, emergency procedures, parent involvement, tuition expectations, late fees, pick up and drop off policies, etc.

  2. try this site--- when i was googling-- free child care forms, it eventually led me to this

    you could google-

    child care handbook

    and follow links from there

  3. I can give you a little to get started.

Your opening paragraph should be your philosophy/vision/mission.

General schedule  maybe a little about why you do each thing.

Parent Policies such as fees/payment, health/illness exclusion, discipoine, nutrition, food service, medication adminstration, reporting child abuse-neglect, complaint procedure, parental behavioral expectations.

Your General policies- discipline, supervision, confidentiality, health routines, biting, reportin gchild abuse, emergency procedures, withdrawel

You may wish to include job descriptions and education requirements for the staff so your parents know who your children will be working with.

Hope that helps you get started.
