I went to lunch with my friends from work. We are all Jewish. One is Conservative, I am Traditional(Modern Orthodox),and my other friend is Reform. My conservative friend(I am naming them my their denomination not names because i dont think they want me to share their name) thinks Conservative Judaism is hitting a bump because many of its famalies are going to Reform Judaism and some become Orthodox. My Reform friend thinks people think Reform Judaism is too liberal and is given a bad name. My conservtaive friend was thinking if creating a Denomination is allowed in Judaism and she isnt sure if they are allowed. I told her that Judaism was created from man(Abraham) and Orthodox Judaism was also made by man (Samson Hirsch). Conservative Judaism(Zecharias Frankel) and so on..... I am asking if she can create a denomination that believes in G-d and keeps traditional laws but adds a few things into it.
