  1. You can make a recovery disc. I am not sure how my pc prompted me to do so.

  2. Best thing to do is erase all the things on your computer except the video driver, internet configurations, operating system and stuff like that. and use the ghost software to create a back-up CD. if you should ever want to format your computer, all you do is pop in the cd and it installs all the operating system, and the stuff you dicided to keep.

TIP: dont do a recovery disc when you have softwares that are'nt related to the operating system or hardware. doing so may cause your recovery disc to be infected.

  3. When Windows XP is installed from a disc (as yours was), that same disc also acts as the recovery cd so you probably won't be able to make your own now.

But have you tried searching in the help section on your computer?

If the option is available to you you should see a result for 'create recovery cd' (for example).  If the search doesn't give you any results it's unlikely that you'll be able to create the disc.

(While you're in the help section, also check out 'repair overview' as this gives you options other than a complete re-install.)
