Creating a short film:Ideas & Tips.?

Question

I'm eager to make a short film.And since this is my senior year and I'd like to pursue a career in the film industry or photography I will like to start now creating short films.

I want to know what are the main principles.Due to the fact that I don't have big equipment,my only equipment is a mini camcorder.but considering that is just going to be for fun and practice I guess this may be enough.

I love suspense&mystery films with a tint of horror.

I may takes months coming up with the scripts and location etc..how can i prepare myself,this will be my first short film and I want to display it on youtube.

focus on emotions and drama.. it has more audience if u r a new comer..

okay theres this famous chef and he is driving down the road and he finds this marmont that has been totally pulverized then he picks it up with a pitch fork and roasts it over a gas burner.he eats it and gets rabbies then goes crazy.he shaves 65/97ths of his eyebrow off then goes bi polar and takes a squirl and wipes his poopy butt.then he gets really fat to the point where his butt is saggy wrinkley liverspotty soggy cratery hairy and moley.then he crys himself to sleep and in his dream he spanks his chinchillas butt and goes to jail for animal abuse.then he escapes because he makes a shank out of his tooth brush and brives big bubba to let him get some.then he runs around naked for a while singing im not a girl not yet a women by britney spears.lastly he tells his mom he is an incest midget.
