Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim developers, Bethesda, are still hoping to release the highly anticipated creation kit for their latest title in January and avoid a delay.
Bethesda are under no illusions that they have one of the most played games in recent months on their hands and instead of sitting back and enjoying their success, they are looking to provide support and more content for their huge fan base.
A number of patches and updates have already been released, with news of the expected patch to fix the much maligned PlayStation 3 version of the game underdevelopment.
However, modders and the more creative demographic of Skyrim fans will be looking forward to the official creation kit which may just sneak in before the month is up.
Keeping things short and sweet is something Bethesda has been known for, excluding the immersive and deep experiences they provide in their games, and the studio released the following statement; or rather tweet on popular social networking site, Twitter.
“Still looking to have it out this month.”
So while gamers are busy learning dragon chants, putting arrows into knees and slaying dragons the developers are working on making the game even more immersive for the gamer.
There is a catch though as the Creation kit is only available to PC users, which is not a bad thing seeing how it is the most played game on Valve’s digital distribution platform, Steam. Yet, console losers will feel that this is a battle lost in the ongoing flame war between gaming on the PC and gaming on the purpose built consoles.
Downloadable Content for the game has also been teased by the studio, yet what that would include is still up for speculation as Bethesda gave very little away apart from the fact that it would “very meaty”.
Sounds delicious, however, everyone will have to wait and see if Bethesda can work some of their magic and get their creation kit out by the end of the month as they hope, and it would be interesting to see what creations gamers and modders alike would come up it.
