Because I'd like you to take a look at this;

http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/2004/07/image/a/format/zoom/

It's called the "ultra deep field" and it was taken by the Hubble telescope. Keep in mind that this photo takes up less than 1/100th of the night sky. And they discovered over 10000 different galaxies in that small section of the sky.

Now, EACH one of those galaxies contain millions of stars. Each one of those stars has the potential for planets (it's estimated that approx 85% of stars have at least one planet orbiting it) and each one of those planets has the potential for life.

Now, seeing this, and knowing this, do you actually want me to believe that you still think that Humanity is the only intelligent life in the universe?

Be honest.

  1. If other "life forms" exist then why don't they just land on earth in a very public place, make it on live television, and tell the world we are not alone?

Answer: Other "intelligent" life does not exist.

  2. Yes. They do.

  3. no i don't believe we are the only intelligent life in the universe. to believe that we would have to be a little bit big headed wouldn't we.

  4. Yes I do.. I don't see your point really .. Infinite space = greater possibility for other life ? I really don't see the connection... God bless you !

  5. Creationists. Do you actually believe that we are the only intelligent life in the universe?  yes,  just because there are planets and lots of them does not mean there is life there. Just like they kept insisting life could exist on mars.

Well they know now it does not.

So yes no life but us.

Why is it ,when people, they demand physical proof related to God or men who wrote the bible, but when it comes to life on other planets they do not need physical proof they speculate all they want that life exist?

  6. God created all the universe.

  7. No, Love one another...God Bless

  8. No.  God is infinately intelligent.

  9. I don't see what that has to do with God creating the universe. why can't he create other life too. Now even if we are the only planet, what does the size of the universe have to do with anything. Since when does size designate importance or value.

  10. h**l with that, some think we are the only planet in the 'universe' and that the stars are just hanging in the 2D sky...

  11. I am glad that you are awed by God's creation. So am I.

If life were a certainty as a result of infinite possibilities, then I would agree with you that certainly in all that space and time, there MUST be life, provided that the POTENTIAL for life precluded it arising NATURALLY.

But life didn't arise by chance, it was created in the beginning by God on this planet. We are isolated and rely upon the word of God for the answers to our existence. This is infallible, not a materialistic speculation.

  12. yes i believe that there are other intelligent life out there in the universe!

luv4neveah: then why dont we land on other planets and prove that we exist? maybe they dont know about us. it would be naive to think that we were the only ones created in an entire universe if they is proof of other galaxies then probably, most likely there has to be intelligent life in one of those galaxies.

  13. What difference does it make?

If Christians believe that it took divine intervention to create life, then it does not matter if there is only one planet in the universe, or one trillion.  Unless God touched another planet, ours would be the only one with life.

It is not a matter of odds and probabilities
