I am doing a report on creationism vs evolution, but I need to find more (free) resources. I have been to Answers in Genesis's site. Are there any other good sources for information? Thanks.

  1. Try using other religions, they all have their own creation stories.

  2. 1) Who assigned you such a ridiculous topic?

    2) You cannot compare them. One is based in faith. One is based in observable fact.

    3) You are in the wrong section.

  3. Try a search on Yahoo using the term creationism. You will find a number of resources that you can use. You asked a legitimate question.  Unfortunately it was question that is always going to get flack on this forum.

However from looking at things, I doubt that you would get more than one or two straight answers on any forum. Sometimes you just have to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

  4. I'm a recovering creationist, i admit to ID, but if you want more help, try posting this in the

    Home > Society & Culture > Religion & Spirituality

but allso try http://www.creationism.org/, or looking it up on wikapedea

good luck, and sorry about all the jeares

  5. The highest authority on this subject is Dr. A.E. Wilder-Smith.  His book entitled “The Natural Sciences Know Nothing of Evolution” shows how the Natural Sciences themselves demonstrate the error of evolution theory.  Learn how to use sound science to refute the false theory of evolution.  I believe all of Dr. Wilder-Smith’s books are available through the Word For Today ministry.

Duane T. Gish’s book “Evolution, the Fossils Say No” examines the fossil record to establish that there is no archeological evidence for evolution.  As a matter of fact, it is entirely absent from the geologic record.

The book “Refuting Evolution” by: Dr. Jonathan Sarfati can be found among the many materials made available through the ministry of Kent Hovind on his website http://www.drdino.com/.

Dr. Henry Morris is another outstanding resource; you might want to begin with his book “Biblical Creationism”.

  6. Evolution can be summed up simply. Take a look at how a Human foetus starts out in the womb to how it ends up by the time it is not only born but how it matures as a fully grown adult.

    It's very simple.

  7. What about No Answers in Genesis

  8. I can only say that I have rarely seen such a set of terrible answers. You ask for information to carry out an assigned piece of work and half of the people slag you off. No wonder people distrust scientists when they sound like a bunch of religious bigots.

In fact, I would expect non-creationists to applaud someone who is going to examine the arguments by gathering whatever information they can and attempt to summarize it and come to a conclusion. I used to believe that was what science was about. Not apparently if it disagrees with a cherished belief.

In case anyone is interested, I do not think creationism holds up to serious scrutiny and so I think we should encourage that discussion, especially froma scientific viewpoint.

  9. people who do not believe in creationism believe that if you put the pieces of a watch into a box and shake the box, eventually a watch will be made. People who believe in creationism believe that the watch can only be made by intelligent design.

    WOOHOO! MOST THUMBS DOWN!

this is an example that converted many atheist scientists. it would be a great thing to include in a report. so... s***w those

  10. http://www.talkorigins.org/ has almost all of the Creationist claims, and many leads you can follow to the actual Creationist material. The Usenet newsgroup has some of the best debates possible in the Creationist vs. Science realm, and some of the people active on both sides have PhD's.

Since they do take care to quote Creationists accurately and provide original sources better than Creationists themselves usually do on their material, if you only want the Creationist side you can just ignore the part where talkorigins thoroughly debunks the claim.

  11. The bible maybe? Creationism isn't based upon evidence, but upon faith.
