  1. Other than the article assumes evolution occurred, and it only does that because most scientists accept it as fact; I don't really see how the evolution or creation idea really is affected by this.

If it evolved, there it is.  If God created it, still there it is.  There isn't all that much input to provide.

  2. Now, we know why we like Jello.

  3. This story does not affect the creationist viewpoint.

In the book of Genesis, it says "God created the Heavens and the earth," so  that means all the planets, the sky,  the oceans, all living life forms  and humans.

SO it's not shocking that  very ancient comb jellies existed.

  4. While walking along the sea shore the sons of Bor found two trees, and from them they created a man and a woman.

Odin gave the man and the woman spirit and life. Vili gave them understanding and the power of movement. Vé gave them clothing and names. The man was named Ask [Ash] and the woman Embla [Elm?]. From Ask and Embla have sprung the races of men who lived in Midgard.

The sagas say it, I believe it, and that settles it.

  5. Eve wasn't a sponge! Hooray! (Sarcasm)

  6. So, primordial jelly, not primordial soup?

  7. Creationists like myself are not surprised at this. We expect to see complexity. We expect to see efficiency. We expect to see information. This new find only lends more evidence to our claim that God made all creatures. I chuckled when I read about how confused and baffled the scientists were. I would give them the answer, but due to their a priori commitment to evolution they would not consider it.

As a Young-Earth Creationist I am curious to find out how they knew it was older. Since there are no reliable dating methods there is no way of knowing how old something is (aside from finding a date stamped on it).

If evolution is abandoned scientists could discover more and understand the world around us better. Evolution has shackled science for far too long.
