Also, can you please tell me if i am able to connect it to my car? when i bought my car it came with an ipod adapter already... but for some reason, i'm not that fond of ipods.

  1. There are so many MP3 and 'portable media' players out there that nobody could tell you which is best.  You just have to look at prices vs. features.

I  have a Sansa and I love it.  It is all flash-memory based, so there are no moving parts.

I had an iPod and I loved that too, but it died and I can't get it fixed!  Apple doesn't want to bother with a 4-year-old iPod, and I found a 3rd party place to fix it but they couldn't.

The lesson I learned is that one should always consider such a device to be 'disposable'.  If you get two years out of it you're lucky.  Cellphones are the same way, you very seldom see a cellphone in use that's more that 2-3 years old.

Yes, the jack on your car radio will work with any audio device, any device that has a headphone jack.  In fact you can use it to listen to the audio portion of a video.

  2.   For sheer listening I like my Sony Walkman NWZS718F it come with noise canceling ear buds.  Mine has 8gb and was just under $200

  3. sony is the way 2 go

  4. it may seem like iPods are over rated but seriously they are not! They are awsome. Try an iPod. If one is too expensive, consider the new Ipod Nanos. They are very portable, and play videos! $150 for a white 4GB that can store ~1,000songs. Video hours may vary depending on how much music you store but its definately hours of video. For $200 you can get the 8GB in various colors such as white, pink, baby blue, pastel green, black or red. That onne stores ~2,000 songs and even more video. iPod are built solid. They last forever, very reliable, and easy to use. I have 3! lol
