Creative Party Theme~ ??

Question

My bf and I have a party at our house every year for our birthdays. Last year it was western and the year before was 80's. I like having a "theme" and people seem to enjoy dressing up for it. Any ideas for this year? It is at the end of August. (I do not want a Hawaiian theme) Thanks!

goddess party - the women get to lounge around, drink and relax and the men can fan them with leaves...and wait on them hand and foot...I know...I'm dreaming...

Have a pajama party.  Everyone can wear their p.j.'s, bring their own pillow and blanket, stuffed teddy bear, they can also bring their favorite bedtime snack.  Have everyone sit on the floor and make it very casual.  You could have a contest for "Prettiest P.J.s" or "Coolest Curls"  Etc..

black and white affair (men in all black ladies in all white) have a black n white cake, decorations etc

or just all white end of summer affair with beautiful white flowers all over the place

how about a toga party or Mexican Fiesta, a groovy hippie party or hollywood glam, twins party- all couples come dressed like eachother.
