Bought a Creative Zen Xtra Mp3 player awhile ago and i bought a new computer that has vista. I was getting ready to put songs on my mp3 until i found out my mp3 player isn't compatible with vista. I then went on to Creative's site to look for updated software but they dont have any for that model. What can I do to still use my mp3. I have like 3 thousands songs ...how can i get them off or is there any way i can still use my mp3 somehow some way. I need help.

  1. 1) plug in the player

    2) vista installed its driver - ok in device manger

    3) put my XP CD in to install the software, orgnizer ect. and it installs

run as Admin, in XP mode else will fail - did install program instal driver again dunno?

    4) start the organizer, find the player and click on it

    5) program fails back to desktop and refers me to creative wesite for upgrade fix with message

    6) download vista software there and try to install, install fails
