my history class? For example, the previous groups did games like charades, pictionary, jeopardy, the game where you toss an object around until someone stops the music and whoever catches it have to answer the question, etc. (but they're not really fun games; more like games that relate to the chapter we're presenting) I don't want something tooo simple, but not too complicated either--just a bit more fun. The games should be something that allows the players to answer questions. Thanks! Whoever comes up with the best one gets 10 pts! (you might be creative, but if the game was already done for another group, thanks for trying:).

The chapter deals with World War II and Hitler and Communism etc.

I need creative ideas relating to the chapter please help me...

  1. Are you familiar with the game Taboo, where teams are given a word or phrase that they have to get their team members to say by giving definitions of the word.  The trick is that they are also given a list of words they are  not allowed to use in the definition - so the words you are not allowed to use at the most common ones you would likely use.  When I played I had to get my team members to say "birth certificate" but I was not allowed to use the words born, baby, and a few others in defining "birth certificate".  The game is a lot of fun, but it doesn't ask questions.  You could use terms and phrases related to WWII.

Another idea would be a Trivial Pursuit type of game, but I think Taboo is more fun because all team members can be calling out guesses.  I hope this is of some help.
