  1. I've been homeschooling for 12 years and I've found that "fun" is different for everybody. If your children are outgoing, people persons, "fun" may be putting on a play about a historical event. If they are quieter kids, fun may be playing a board game or doing puzzles. For the majority of kids your kids ages, they enjoy school when it involves a lot of interaction with mom. For us this means read aloud time for at least 2 half - hour stints per day. My son learned to read mostly by being read to. We read historical novels, great literature, non fiction science books, and lots of animal stories. Another option is hands on projects. Check out Sonlight Curriculum, Tapestry of Grace, and Winter Promise for lots of great reading books and activities to do. Tapestry of Grace  has a lot of links to on-line resources. Click on a year plan at the top of the page then click "arts and activities" on the right side and you'll come to one of the links pages.

  2. Ermm it depends on the age. I'm not a mother but a teenager doing home education. I take 5 minute breaks after each study period and you could try playing word games or maths games with your kids to brighten up the atmosphere. Make sure they have plenty of outdoor activities and clubs where they can meet other kids. I am going to a drama club, to meet other kids who go to public schools.

  3. There are a ton of resources online!  What age are your children?  Check out the links I have provided below:
