Creative ideas for a new charitable organization?

i want to start a community organization. i want the organization's focus to help needy children, as well as their family. i was just wondering if anyone has creative ideas that are fun and can really impact people's lives.

It is such a good thing that you are doing this. I have many suggestions for you.

Get together and make crafts/cards for kids in a children's hospital. It really puts a smile on their face and can brighten their day.

You could also help raise money to get nets for kids in africa. These nets cover their beds while they sleep so that mosquito's don't give them malaria.

You could also do bake sales, car washes, etc.
