Creative ideas please?

Why would you want to browse the internet through speech? i.e. you and your browser talk to each other.

  1. It would be easier for people with arthritis or other problems with hands to talk to the browser.


  2. Oh god, no. I like it just the way it is. I can say whatever I want to it and it can't do a thing about it. It can't argue, it can't sulk, it can't make stupid jokes. It has to do what I tell it to do. It can't even laugh at my dumb mistakes. Anything that isn't human is more than welcome to stay just as it is, in my book. I'm glad my dog doesn't speak English too. Or my car. I hate to imagine the things my car might have to say to me!

    Seriously, I hate things like talking cars and cameras. It isn't as if they're thinking, and so vocalizations are no more helpful than chimes or lights or readouts. Just one more voice jabbering on pointlessly. I get plenty of that at work, thank you very much.
