Creative summer community service ideas?

alot of my friends are going on vacation for summer so i have alot of spare time. i'm volunteering with some camps but what are some other things? i've heard people work at the library, and work at local snowball stands. what do you think?

You could volunteer at a hospital, homeless shelter, habitat for humanity, humane society or pound, or go to unitedway.org and look under volunteer opportunity
