Creative way to spend your summer vacation?

Question

I've been out of school for a couple weeks already and I really don't know how to spend it. Besides spending time with my friends or at work, I need something to do to keep me busy.

I don't really want to spend a lot of money due to the gas prices or have to drive anyway far.

But if you have any creative or original ideas that would be fun to do, let me know. And I'm pretty much up for anything =]

volunteer at a hospital

go get some good books from the library

find out if your town is having any festivals.. july 4th is coming up

learn to do hair or  cook or a facial

go to a recreation center or local community center or pool

learn to sew or knit

go to the mall

learn to do something you're interested in.

When I was younger I would sometimes spend my summers learning new songs on guitar and piano. Maybe if you play an instrument you could learn new songs or techinques. Some other things you can do is learn to do different crafts or maybe you could write short stories or blog.
