Creative web camera with microphone. microphone wont work for yahoo messanger ?

i have a web camera and a mic in it and the camera works fine but video conferncing it the mic dont work why? its a creative camera

1.  The microphone is muted?

Go into the sound controls. (double click on the speaker down by your time).  Make sure the mute box isn't checked.

2.  Drivers for the webcam didn't install correctly.
