credible *individuals* may be good sources. If you interview an expert in the field, e.g. a scholar, professor, manager--someone who has credentials and experience--that would be fine.

How will you cite them, and do they belong on the Ref. pg.?

  1. I'm not totally sure what you're asking, but I would only reference work that has been published under a prestigious source (for example in the Biological world, the journal 'Nature'). The whole point of referencing is to be able to find where you got the information you have to see if it is credible or not.


  2. If you are writing a news article, cite them within the article. Here's an example:

    Paraphrasing:

    Joe Shmoe, New York State University canal analyst, said diving into the river may be hazardous to one's health.

    Quoting:

    "Man, I'd go to the doctor right away if I fell into that river. It's full of deadly bacteria," said Joe Shmoe, New York State University canal analyst.
