To be honest with you, in my opinion, I think the fact that the highstreet is in difficulty is less to do with the credit crunch, and more to do with smarter consumers, who are now able to find greater deals online. Just look at the stats - more people are now shopping online than ever before, and less people are shopping in the highstreet than ever before. Quite a coincidence, don't you agree.


  2. i think you just have to look at Primark to see that people are buying cheaper clothes & shoes etc.....this shop is always full - many of the other shops are suffering now!

  4. Starbucks has announced that it is closing some stores, right?

    So that's one "expensive rubbish at high prices" that is starting to be weeded out of the market

Oh god yes, i have seen three shops starting their closing down sale this week.One is high end jewellery,one sells goldigga/playboy clothes etc and the other was designer bags/suitecases etc.Only three things to be in at moment..prams(births) wedding attire etc(marriages) coffins (deaths)cos we all need them at some point in our lives.
