  1. Teenagers can get credit cards, just not on their own signature.  You have to be 18 in order to enter a legally binding contract.

You can start a bank account as soon as you are old enough to see over the counter.

Something you might find easier to do is set up a paypal account.  It doesn't require a credit card, and many places you shop online accept it.

If that is not an option where you shop, consider a prepaid credit card, they sell them at Wal-Mart, you cough up the cash, and it works.

Several card companies have started marketing cards to teens that are either prepaid or partially secured.  Do a little searching.

  2. You cannot get a credit card until you are over 18, have a job and income, have a bank account, and have a credit rating.  If you have earned your own money and are permitted to spend it as you please, then ask your parents to buy the item for you and give them the money to pay for it.  If you expect to use your parents' money, you need their permission to spend any of it anyway.

  3. Set up a bank account and you will get a debit card whereby you can then purchase on-line (with most). I'm 16 and I do the exact same!
