Ok about two months ago I purchased some furniture for my mother's new house on my credit card. We were supposed to have the furniture delivered in two weeks after escrow closed. But unfortunatly things went sour in escrow and it took a month longer to complete it. We had called the furniture store and told them the situation and they said no problem call us when you want to have it delivered. Ok so another month and a half passes by this time we have all the house painted ready to move in, so we call the furniture station and tell them we're ready for the merchandise. Unfortunaly the man who origanally sold us the furniture wasn't there anymore. So this guy who I believe to be either the owner or store manage told us that one set of couches we ordered were somehow gone. To come in and show him from a catalog what they looked like so he could have them made. Keep in mind that I briefly saw the couches my mother had picked them out. I just supplied the funds.

  1. No you should not have any problems with a dispute on the purchase of furniture via the credit card company.

Tell them what happened and have your mother write a brief note as to what has happened and explaining the discrepency in the ordered v.s. delivered furniture. (You may not need this note but it can't hurt either!)

    Good luck, Hope this helps!

  2. I don't think you'll have any problem with the credit card company.  Just explain it to them.  Good luck!
