Question:

Credit card trouble?

I went to a site (www.gobackpacks.com) to buy a backpack. I made the order, filled out everything and when I tried to order it said something about filter error and my order could not be completed. I tried correcting some things I thought I had wrong three times, but nothing changed. However when I check my card's transactions, the site is charging me three times, even though the order was never confirmed. It does say that the transaction is in process, but still I'm afraid they'll charge me for something that wasn't confirmed. I already emailed them, but is there something else you would recommend or does this happen with that filter error? Please help me out.

  1. it may have to do with their server or system. What you can do is see if they have a customer service # to speak to a live person. If they do not the next thing would be to wait about 2-3 days to see if your email is answered. This also allows time for the order to process and it may actually be that these are just authorizations to make sure the order does go through. Authorizations do however fall off after the process is complete. If you have waited and no answer to your email and you confirm that you are indeed charged three times the next thing to do is wait until you get the order and make sure that there are 3 backpacks. Next you would have to follow their return policy exactly and make sure that you return the other two for a credit back to your card.
