Credit cards at 18?

I was going to put a new motorcycle on my credit when i turn 18 , i have a job and i know how to handle my money so please no stupid answers.. i was wondering if after i bought the bike would i be able to get another card from say a clothes store or best buy something like that

  1. Yes, you may apply but whether you are approved or otherwise depends on your credit history. However, retail credit cards are not a good idea because they carry higher APR and it is difficult to keep track on your spending. Just apply one or two from established financial institutions, build your credit up and you will be much secured.

  3. You wouldn't put a bike on a credit card, you would want to put  it on an installment loan that terms out with the expected average life of the bike.  The interest rate is lower and the term is like 5 years.

    Avoid store cards.  They have limited use, higher rates, and hurt your score worse.  Get a visa or mastercard from your bank.

  4. you might get it but at the time you apply for  a store card they'll run another credit check so it depends on your score and history at that time . just be good about paying what you owe now so you have good payment history to work in your favor.
