When it came time to buy a car, my father had to get it in his name. I pay all the payments on time and keep the insurance on the vehicle. I have had the car since Jan 2008 and I want to refinance it in my name. Does anyone know where I can make this happen with my bad credit that i am working on fixing and if it is possible?

  1. Talk to a bank about a loan.  It could be that your bad credit might keep you from being given one, but asking doesn't hurt.

  2. yeh you have to complete the finance formalities i think tata capital & reliance finance may help u out just call them & explain the matter. i hope they will solve ur prob cas they new in market & they need the costomers...what u think..

  3. You could ask about refinancing with your father as a co-signer this way the bank might be more willing to give you the loan knowing your father could cover you even with your bad credit.  Plus, doing it this way will improve your credit rating instead of it going on your father's credit rating.  I had to do this a few years ago with some student loans where my father co-signed for me, but I was the main person on the loan, and I made the payments.  In less than two years I was able to refinance my home with a better credit rating, and was able to purchase a car with a good rate because my credit rating had improved so much.

    Good Luck
