  1. it depends where you live. If your in the USA yes you can. Search free credit report. If your in Canada no. But you pay $12 on line to see it immediatly.

Everybody is entitled to a free credit reort once a year but you need to mail in copies of ID etc with a self addressed envelope !

  2. freecreditreport.com

  3. http://freecreditreport.com

free for the first 30 days then I think its $15 a month for experian and $25 a month if you want transunion and equifax credit reports too

  4. Yes and no.  You can go to places that advertise free credit reports.  They require you to subscribe (for a fee) to their services.  To make it free you must then cancel to their satisfaction in the time frame they give.  Freecredit report.com is the most well known but in my opinion it is a scam.  Remember nothing is free, someone pays for it.

That said, you are allowed by law one free credit report from the agencies when one of the following are met:

    1) annually

    2) applied for and denied credit where their comments had an impact on the decision.

    3) applied for and turned down for employment where their comments had an impact on the decision.

    4) If you have disputed a claim or negative mark on your credit and they have investigated the claim.

  5. best of all is

  8. www.freecreditreport.com

  9. You can view your reports, all three from this site:

    http://www.annualcreditreport.com

Don't use any other site.  This is the government recommended scam free site.

You one free report for the three credit bureaus.

    Unfortunately, scores are never free.

The cost for a genuine FICO (the only one that really matters) is about 15.95 each.  Again, there are three.

If you dont want to pay for scores, try this score simulator.  IT will give you a general idea within 50 points of where you are.

  10. Don't fall for freecreditreport.com!!!! I got suckered into that "free trial." What happens is, they take your credit card number, but tell you if you cancel within 30 days they won't charge it. BUT when you call the phone number to cancel, you will NEVER get through to a person, and if you email their customer service, your emails will all bounce back, saying they can't be delivered because they are spam. I ended up having to cancel the card I gave them the number to, because after spending 3 weeks trying to cancel and being unable to, I knew they were going to charge my card and I couldn't do anything about it.

The website where you can go to get your government-required free report from each of the 3 bureaus is WWW.ANNUALCREDITREPORT.COM. You get one free one per year from Experian, Equifax, and Transunion.

Unfortunately, there is no site where you are entitled to your FICO score for free. You have to pay for it, period. And DON'T fall for those really cheap credit scores... they are NOT your FICO score, and that is the one that matters. You have to buy it from the FICO website!

EDIT: I noticed someone mentioned Bankrate's score simulator. Try it!!! It estimated my score to be between 725 and 775, and my true score is 743. Pretty accurate for most other people as well, from what I've heard!
