Credit score approval for renting apartment in MI?

My girlfriend and I are looking to rent an apartment in Oakland County, MI. My credit score is 550, hers is 660. Do you think we would be approved for an apartment? Our income combined is around $3000 monthly.

Ask the company what their requirements are.  Based off of your credit score, you'll probably pass. But most apartment owners also require that you make a certain percentage more than what the cost of the rent per month is (typically, 3 times as much as the cost of rent).  So it's a good idea to see if they have criteria like that before having them run your credit :)

I would see if she can rent it in her name and put you on the lease as an occupant.
