1. We have exactly the same problem, we have good credit scores but keep getting refused credit due to the previous occupier of our new home being investigated for fraud. I was advised to phone up the people you had your credit report from and get advice from them.

  2. Your credit report/ratings are NOT tied into the address you live at.

I can't imagine any credit reporting service issuing a credit report based solely on an address.

If you are denied credit based on a bad credit report, and upon examination you find items that do not belong to you, dispute them immediately. If they are not removed, file a lawsuit. You will win.

For now, go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com and pull your credit reports and examine them.

  3. do u live in the uk? if so contact Citizens Advice Bureau they can help u with anything and give u advice on what 2 do im also sure if u contact the credit reference agency im sure they can also give u advice aswell good luck :)

and it DOES matter if ur house has bad credit coz it goes down as being blacklisted and it has 2 go threw the courts 2 have it removed i no a friend who done that so sorry the other person is wrong! x
