Creditable theories of quantized space?

Are there any creditable theories of space being quantized like energy and time (Planck time)?

  1. There are credible theories, but nothing yet to tell us what it's really like at that scale, and what it would mean for space to be quantized.


  2. There are many physicists who ascribe to the theory space-time is quantized, now referred to as quantum foam, or space-time foam. It was first proposed by John Wheeler in 1955 as the foundation of the fabric of the universe, and to provided a description of subatomic space-time turbulence at distances of the Planck length.

    I'm hoping when the LHC cranks up to full operation we may embark on a journey that will turn physics on it's head, just as Newton did to ancient physics, Einstein to classical physics, and quantum theory to the understanding of the ultra small.
