I am 14 days past my due date on a personal like of credit. and creditors have been calling me 4-5 times per day. Ive told them i would make a payment thursday the 25th (tomorrow) and to stop calling me and they get REALLY rude!! asking me if i even have a job and why im not paying my bills.

Do i have any rights?

Should i talk to their supervisor?

  1. They will continue to call until it is paid. They can call every single day.

  2. Dear Friend, I am in same situation as you. I would start to documenting what time they called, get their names/numbers,and have someone else listening to your calls, and what agency. Lastly, I called my telephone company, they told me that if I get a phone record and give it to the police. They would trace the calls.

  3. Just tell them you'll pay and to stop calling you. That's all you can do.

  4. Just pay on the 25th.

You could ask them if they would stop calling because they are using up your anytime minutes and that you are already in a bind because earlier today your goldfish goldilocks drowned and you are on your way to her funeral, and how would they feel if they just got a speeding ticket when you were driving only 3 miles over the posted limit just Three friggin  miles just so you could get to the funeral home and pick out some pretty flowers and that on the way the sun was burning your skin even though you use sunblock with an spf of 1 million and 5 hundred thousand! AND the airconditioning just went out at your house and you can't stop hyperventilating and then breathe really loud and hard and say DAMNIT I'LL PAY ON THE 25th, then politely say thankyou have a great day.

  5. Yes, you have the right to pay your bills on time.  They have the right to hound you when you don't pay on time.  Is this the first time you've been late paying this bill?

Original creditors do not have the same rules as third party collection agencies.
