  1. My daughter started developing at 10 years old.  There's nothing to be creeped out about and it's very normal.  I was nine years old when I started.

Make sure you need a bra at this stage.  If your not showing through your clothes yet, than maybe you can wait awhile.  You can start out with a cami bra to get used to the feel.

Just tell you Mom that you think you need a bra.  Plain and simple.  After all, doesn't your Mom wear a bra?  She was a beginner once also.  :o)

Old Navy has some nice bras, which is what my daughter wears.  They're beige and don't show through your clothes at all.

    I hope this helps.

  2. Don't be creeped out about asking for bras.

Next time your at the store with mom... say I need to get some bra's. I am sure she will be happy to help. (Or just let her know at home)

  3. My daughter is 10 and we bought bras last year. Try a sports bra, and then when you get used to it try some other kinds. Don't be creeped out all other girls your age are doing the same thing, maybe your mom noticed you need one but she is waiting until you are ready for one.

  4. its one of those things that in five years you'll think it was funny how you were so embaressed, but its really not that big of a deal

  5. Just tell her that you wanna go bra fitting one day! Pick out some cool ones! Or get some sports bras! I love them.

Trust me she will understand! Most of the time when you feel a certain way about things your mother or father have felt the same way! So just tell her what you told us

  6. Girls develop earlier and earlier :)  Perhaps your mom hasn't noticed because you are not as old as she was when she needed a bra.  I understand that it creeps you out - believe me, sweetie, it creeped us all out - including your mom, when she was young :)  Just wait til you are alone with her and come out and say it.  Good luck :)

  7. In my experience, those who want them don't need them.  Those that need  them.... its like pulling teeth to get them to wear them!

Mom will know when its time for you to be wearing a bra, and by then you'll loathe the very idea of it.

  8. Next time you go to the store and pass the bra area...walk into it,find a bra you like, and say "hey mom could I plese get a few of these?" I hope this helped!

  9. Honey...don't be creeped out.  It happens to all of us girls.  You mom when she was younger too.  Just tell her you're feeling like you need a bra now and it would make you feel more comfortable with your body if you got one.  She'll be more than happy to go with you to the store and you two can find one that fits properly and makes you feel good too.  Welcome to womanhood!

  10. I have had this talk with my daughter, and we looked at something that would be comfortable and easy to wear.

No need to be creeped out.

Your mom will be much cooler than you think.

Chances are her mom, was not as cool and she will know how to make you feel at ease!
