Crest Pro Health Rinse - I keep hearing that it stains teeth, why is that?

What exactly in the mouthwash is causing the staining? Is it the active ingredient (Cetylpyridinium Chloride) or maybe the dye that's used?

  1. I am not sure why it causes staining but there have been numerous reports about it.  It is not the active ingrediant that causes it, this is the same active ingrediant that is in Scope and people don't have problems with that staining their teeth

  2. Maybe because Crest Pro Health Rinse has coincidentally only been reviewed by heavy smokers and red wine drinkers.  Ever thought of that?  Hmm?
