  1. They can be, they can make your teeth more sensitive. Yes you brush afterward.

  2. I used them, and they did get my teeth pretty white. And I liked that...although... I am not gonna lie.

They reaaaaly hurt my teeth. It's kind of a hit and miss thing.

They will either hurt your teeth, or they wont.

If your dentist said go ahead, then go for it.

Just read the instructions on the package :)

  3. No, they are not bad for your teeth. I got mine at the dentist too. My teeth are very, very sensitive, and the strips did bother them. You may want to use a sensitive type of toothpaste. I can't remember if I brushed my teeth afterwards. I think I did, but am not sure. Check the box. They didn't bother my gums at all either.

  4. Ive used Crest Whitestrips and they are amazing!

    1. They DO NOT harm your enamel because they contain peroxide; not bleach. Dentists even use peroxide to whiten your teeth in the office.

    2. If you have sensitive teeth and gums, Crest Whitestrips may cause you irritation. After the first day my teeth were sensitive (like you bite into ice cream) but it wasn't too bad.

    3. No you don't brush your teeth after, but I believe you can rinse them off. I just wiped them off and it was fine; no nasty after taste.

    4. Don't brush your teeth right before you apply the strips (it says so on the box) and read the directions very carefully. Oh also, its a bit tricky to apply the strip on your lower teeth because they are so small. I always "air dry" my lower teeth by sucking in air and they applying the strip. Then don't talk or open your mouth because the strip will move and fall off.

  5. I have sensitive teeth and have to use special toothpaste or they really hurt when cold hits them.  The first time I used the strips, several years ago, I had no pain.  My dentist recommends them as the most effective at home remedy and he does tooth whitening in his office.

This last time, after the second day, I had jaw pain that took 3 days to stop and Tylenol, what was recommended didn't help at all.  So, here's what you can do.  Try them following the directions.  Skip a day so you are using them every other day.  If they seem to start bothering you, stop using them for a while and spread out the treatments even more or shorten the time they are on.  If you don't use toothpaste for sensitive teeth, you can try Sensodyne or Crest for sensitive teeth.  I made the switch to Crest but my husband had to go back to Sensodyne.

I found that if I wanted the Crest strips to touch all my tooth, I had to gently press them in place between the teeth.  I just used my finger.

You can rinse out your mouth after using the strips or brush.  Just don't brush too often.

The dental technicians in my office say that most people just take Tylenol for any pain they had, but with my sensitive teeth that wasn't enough. Some people can tolerate more pain than other people so it may not bother you at all.  You can also try toothpaste or rinse with whitening ingredients

I can't imagine why your teeth would be discolored enough to need whitening.  Are you sure they are surface stains?  I had to drink years of tea and coffee to dim down my white teeth.

  6. um they can be bad for your teeth if you use them to much. It shouldn't irritate your gums and when i used white strips i always brushed my teeth afterwords. I would be careful though because sometimes on the type you get it can make your teeth even more sensitive..so just watch out for that btu for the most part if your dentist said it was okay then go for it

  7. well i cant answer all your questions but i have pretty sensitive teeth and i tried them. DO NOT brush your teeth right after or before using them. The box ussually comes with instructions on how they are properly used but anyways yeah dont do that because after i did that and used the strips my teeth had an electric shock feeling going through them but it didnt last for long. anyways !! just try them out :)

    good luck with everything !

  8. 1. i'm pretty sure they are not bad for your teeth..its just real bleaching trays that can be bad (i asked my dentist about the trays..they said i was too young..im 14)

    2. ive used two boxes..the first did not hurt my teeth but the more often you do it the more it can hurt..but it really has bothered me that much.  it could be different if your teeth are really sensitive.

    3. no u dont brush ur teeth right after (or right before) but i  would recommend at least rinsing or wiping of the gel when ur finished

    4. they work really well if ur consistant..um and obviously dont eat or drink when theyre on

  9. They shouldnt hurt your teeth, or bad for them. I would brush after u take them off. Just dont replace it with brushing your teeth. I would brush before and after u put them on.

  10. I have sensitive teeth too, and I use them... I am a 15 year old girl, they aren't bad for your teeth, they don't effect my teeth, I usually brush my teeth after, incase there is an after taste... if you don't like the strips you could try bleaching them, same effect same price, more work though. hope that helps : )

  11. If your dentist said they are fine, then go with it.  Personally I too have sensative teeth and could never use those things cause they made my mouth hurt.

  12. 1. If anything, CREST whitestrips are the best whitening strips for your teeth, and in some cases can help.

    2. It may slightly irritate your teeth, not your gums though. It won't even be as close to bad as braces, which I can stand.

    3. Most likely, the box with specify with those directions, but if not, definitley before.

    4. Try the ones which you have to remove, not the dissolveable ones, they are way more effective, and worth the time.

  13. I do not know why your dentist would ok those strips maybe if you only used them once but they are BAD for your teeth especially if you have sensitive teeth these strips will eat your enamel and make your teeth even more sensitive. At 13 you should not be messing up your teeth like that. Your gums and teeth will both hurt if you abuse the strips

  14. dont use them too much, wait a while before you do again and use them like once every month or so and it's fine that they're senstive.
