Question:

Crested Gecko HELP!?

I will be getting a crested gecko very soon, and I need to know should I get the 12x12x18 (12 gallons) Exo Terra Rainforest Kit or the 18x18x24 (33 gallons) Exo Terra Rainforest Kit? I don't have a ton of money so I would prefer the smaller one, but if it is really not big enough then I'll get the bigger, and I could always upgrade in a while... So what do you think?

  1. A crested gecko needs at least 20 gallons of spacce. Preferably taller than longer. The temp needs to be around 72-74. humidity iis around 60 if I remeber. they could survive on exo terra crested gecko diet. If you choose not to use that they need to be fed CRICKETS and fruits daily. I don't have a crested. At the bottom is a very helpfull website that I suggest you join.

  2. 12 gallons

  3. you can buy the first one, as long as you only keep one full grown crestie in there.

if you plan to get more than one, you will need a bigger tank.

just be sure to keep it VERY clean is you decide to go with the smaller tank, as it will get smellier faster than the larger one.

good luck with you new crestie! :D

  4. They need as large as enclosure as possible.  They love to climb, so height is more important.  Have lots of hiding places for him as well.  Definitely go with the bigger one...you'll save money in the long run as they grow quickly.
