Crested gecko weight ?

i have a 2 year old female crested gecko, she is just over 6 inches and weighs 24 grams, I am ready to breed her, but she needs to gain some more weight. how do i get her to gain some weight fast, what to feed her.

  1. That really is very small for a 2 year old lady.  I'd try and get her on the 2-part crested gecko diet as it's higher in protein, then I'd definitely get to feeding her crickets at least once a week.  My adults can handle large crickets just fine.  And make sure she gets fresh food every other day.

    You may even want to try hand-feeding her for a while to make sure she's eating enough.  It will probably take her a few months to gain that weight.


  2. She should weigh at least 35 grams...40 grams is better.  Feed her small calcium dusted crickets and a good Crested diet like Repashy every day.  More breeding info here:
