Crete family holiday, please advise?

Not too busy, kids are 11 and 9 yrs old. Not a big hotel and it will be May or June? Thanks

I went a few years ago to Hersonissos, near Iraklion (where the airport is) Stayed in the sun and sea apartments - only 2 star self catering but it was clean and we loved it. It was mid-late may when we were there, right at the start of the season so it wasnt too busy either. My son was 7 at the time, there's a water park, crazy golf, etc near by. There's a huge hill/mountain type thing right behind these apartments (on the other side to the sea - so it doesnt block the view) we took a train/bus ride up the mountain - that was pretty cool too - amazing sights. Enjoy - wherever you decide.

You can consider gping to Las Vegas for some family friend activities.

Along the way, you can see colorful sandstone Calico Ghills, the limestone Indian roasting pits and the petroglyphs at Willow Springs.
