Crf230 piston change please help!

with it being a 4 stroke with the cams and **** will changing piston be hard? and will adding a weisco piston make more power? and how can i tell i need to change it, ive added alot of aftermarkey stuff to it and its been acting weird...

Unless it is burning oil, or if you are getting blow-by you shouldnt need to do a top end rebuild. More then likely you changed the air intake and the exhaust and didnt re-jet the carb. Before you spend the time and the money on a rebuild get the carb properly jetted

you're not gonna get extra power by adding a diffrent name brand piston.... you can get more power by adding a bigger piston (boring it out)....

and rebuilds are more complicated on a four stroke, but i taught myself to work on cars, and cars are by far more difficult then bikes.... if i can teach myself to work on a car, using a manual and working on a bike shouldn't be hard at all.....
