Crf250r or kx250f?

Question

i am looking for a new bike and couldnt decide between the 06 crf250r and the 06 kx250f .i was just wondering if you guys can help me out and give me your opinions and thoughts on these 2 bikes

Kawasaki has the best power transfer of any other 4-stroke. (Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, KTM.)

I like the Honda, plus it looks cool with thier dual exhausts.....

I love Honda's so I am biased however, someone I know owns one and he swears by it. Heaps of power, great band and the closed one to a mx bike. He tours and rides in groups all over Tasmania. (somewhere in Australia, not important to the story)

Buy a Honda

edit - Isn't the CRF the 2 - stroke? If not, I may be mistaken however buy a Honda anyway.

i take it you watch supercross?

villipoto won on a kx 250f last year and james stewart won on the kawasaki kx 450f last year

what people forgot to mention is that honda had huge issues with their valves in the motor!!

i own a yamaha so im giving you an honest opinion

i would go with the kawasaki

I would go with Honda. I have always rode Honda and never had any bad experiences with them, especially the crf 250r.

honestly, honda kicks a$$. most bang for the buck. i have 2. a race and trail bike

My son was sponsored by Kawasaki and ended up having to swap to Honda as the Kawasaki just didn't have the power down the straights.  He would whop the others in the corners only to lose it back on the straights so had no choice other than to go to another bike to stop this happening.  So I would go with the Honda if you are looking for the fastest between the two.  The Kawasaki is a good bike though and if you don't intend to race it really wouldn't matter.  Just make sure if buying a second hand bike that it has been well maintained so you are not buying trouble.

i have a 04 crf250r and my mate has an 06 kx250f and my bike woops it....go with the honda you will never look back i have had no trouble with mine and i ride it all most every day just keep your maintaince up to scratch.

There is a reason why all almost every privateer uses a Honda. They are the best out of the box and the easiest to make better, because there not a lot more you can do. Go to dirtrider.com or dirtbikemagazine.com and they will have a 2006 250f shootout that will tell you the good and bad of the Kawasaki and Honda.
