Cricket Australia 2011 – Simon Katich contract end puts pressure on Ricky Ponting
Former Australian captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-Mathew-Katich-c90404 a contract in the list of 25 contracted players for 2011-12 seasons.
"To be omitted from the contract list was a great shock to him. It was a shock to me”,  Ponting stated.
According to the successful captain of the Aussies cricket history, Katich’s performance has always been outstanding for the country.
"His performance in the last two or three years has been as good as anybody's in the world", Ponting added.
The legendary batsman is also worried to retain his place in the Aussies squad along with other senior folks.
"It's going to make us work that little bit harder. I would have liked to have another old bloke around the group with me. It puts us 36-year-olds on notice now, Mike Hussey and myself", Ponting expressed.
Meanwhile, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Young-c98322 players in the list of contracted players. Ponting is expecting the youngsters to perform for Australia to cement their place in the side, which will be beneficial for the country.

Under his captaincy, the Aussies team has won World Cup twice consecutively, in 2003 and in 2007, where he was right on the money with his decisions and planning.
