Cricket Australia announce an unchanged National umpire panel for the 2011-12 season – Cricket News Update
Cricket Australia (CA), on Thursday, announced an unchanged 12-member National Umpire Panel for the 2011-12 season. All the members on the panel during the 2010-11 season have been retained this time around without the addition of any new member.
The umpires have been selected by the Umpire High Performance Panel.
The acting chief executive officer of Cricket Australia, Michael Brown, was pleased to see the improved standard of umpiring in Australia. He said that it was pleasing to see the national umpiring setting benchmark for the international officiating.
"We have 12 committed and quality umpires who are dedicated to improving the standard of umpiring and setting a very high benchmark for officiating in Australia," said Mr Brown.
He further added that Australia have a history of producing International umpires, adding that three are on the elite panel and another twelve are getting ready to join them.
"Australia has a history of producing international umpires through its development pathway. Three umpires are currently on the ICC Elite Panel and we have another 12 here who are very focused on following the same path," he shared.

All these umpires will officiate in the interstate matches during the 2011-12 http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 domestic season, which includes tournaments like Big Bash Twenty20, Ryobi Cup and the Sheffield Shield tournament.
Cricket Australia also nominated Reiffel, Fry and Oxenford for the International umpires Panel and they can officiate in International cricket matches as well. Their appointment for the overseas matches will be made by the International Cricket Council.
