Cricket Australia could be fined for Big Ben branding
The chief executive of Cricket Australia, James Sutherland has said that he was not worried about any legal action being taken against CA for having photos of Ricky Ponting and Michael http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 project onto
Big Ben, the iconic London clock. He said that there wasn’t much to it except a “little bit of friendly banter"

Sutherland also pointed out that it was a part of the revenge after there were pictures of the English team that had been projected on the Sydney Harbour Bridge before the start of the previous Ashes in Australia,
English billionaire Richard Branson projected his own face, painted in England's colours on the same Bridge during the same series.

The most recent Australian images had an underlying caption which says, "Don't forget to pack the urn", and this was projected on to Big Ben on Wednesday evening. Now, the Westminster city council is contemplating
taking action against Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 for this and have called it "both inappropriate and insulting for this important location and its buildings to effectively be abused in this manner".

However, speaking to the Guardian, Sutherland said that there was nothing novel in the stunt given that the same had been done on two previous occasions. In 2007, Sky Sports had projected images of Monty
Panesar and Andrew Flintoff on to the Sydney Harbour Bridge while in the 2009 Ashes, Richard Branson projected an image of himself, face painted with the St George's Cross, on to the Bridge again.

Sutherland added, "My perspective on it was a little bit of friendly banter between Australia and England. It's a reciprocating what happened a couple of years ago when England shone something on to the Sydney
Harbour Bridge. It's just harmless fun and I hope nobody takes it too seriously."

Even Australian captain, Ricky Ponting seemed to agree with Sutherland and said, "Winning the urn back from our age-old rival is the most prized achievement for Australians and we just wanted to send them
a reminder not to leave the urn behind. Our message is clear – we're prepared and we're ready so bring on the Ashes."
