Cricket Australia hails ‘fantastic’ Brett Lee – Cricket News Update
Cricket Australia paid rich tribute to the fast bowler Brett Lee after he announced retirement from international cricket, on Friday morning, July 13, 2012.
Terming his record as ‘fantastic’, the Cricket Australia chief executive http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Alexander-Sutherland-c65430 said that the ace pacer is an inspiration to young kids to take up the game.
"His record as a wicket-taker and leader of the attack is fantastic and speaks for itself, but his resilience and ability to bounce back after numerous injuries has also been impressive," said Sutherland at the press conference called up for Lee to officially
announce retirement.
"On top of this, and this is a significant part of his legacy, Brett inspired young Australians to play cricket and bowl fast," the Cricket Australia CEO added further.
