Telecommunications company Vodafone has announced that they will be terminating their sponsorship of the Australian cricket team at the end of next summer, after the completion of the team’s Tests against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
The company has had an 11-year partnership with the Australian team, but announced that it would not be renewing its sponsorship next year. Cricket Australia is already on the hunt for new major sponsors, and Mike McKenna, Cricket Australia executive general

Vodafone (previously Orange, and then 3) took the sponsorship in 2001, and despite the fact that the decision to terminate the contract will prove to be a major financial hit to Australian cricket, McKenna claimed that the CA had no qualms, and looked forward
to seeing the deal through till the end.
“We understand that. Test cricket has helped Orange, 3 and Vodafone become Australian household names and we look forward to continuing to work with Vodafone next summer in what will be the final season of our successful relationship.”

“Our research shows the Australian public loves Test cricket, regards cricket as the sound of summer and that interest in cricket goes through the roof when the traditional enemy, England, tours this country,” said McKenna.
The Australian team has had a successful season so far, having won the Commonwealth Bank tri-series at home, before moving on to a successful tour of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760. However, the Ashes marks one of the most competitive rivalries in the sport, and the upcoming
