  1. well, first determine your size and whether you would prefer a light bat or a heavy bat. I would recommend a heavy bat if you have very strong wrists and can tolerate any kind of wrist injury, these can contribute in big hitting, but are a menace to maintain and cost a fortune. If you would prefer a light bat, this means that you like to play shots rather than strokes, then go for a light bat

if you want a heavy bat, then go for Reebok or Gray Nicolls, but Puma and Kookaburra are really good light bats

  2. If you want a new bat you should go to a cricket store and get the staff to help you out as every batsmen is different (ie. hayden is a powerful n strong batsmen so he used a thick heavy bat) PS don't go to a general sports store, go to a cricket store as they know that they are talking about. Otherwise I would recommend a grey nicolls simply becasue they seem to last forever

  3. well it depends on the type of batsmen you are and what weight bat you want

so go to a shop with lots of different tyoes of bats and try them all to find the right one for you

  4. Depends on how much you want to spend, but if you have £150+ I would highly recommend either Millichamp Hall , Salix or Newbery, all hand made and guaranteed, check out their web sites. The mass production bats are all pretty good , but remember you get what you pay for and there are a lot of differing wood standards, so a cheap Gray Nicholls is not necessarily a good bat.

  5. Go for Gunn & Moore or Gray Nicholls
