India plays against New Zealand in Chennai on Friday, December 10th, in the fifth match of the ODI series between the two countries. India currently leads the series 4-0 and is looking for a whitewash against the Kiwis.
New Zealand, on the other hand, will try their level best to overthrow the Indians in the final encounter.
New Zealand did show flares of brilliance in the fourth ODI and even nearly won the match, but Yusuf Pathan played a gem of an innings to deny them the victory. Pathan is on a high now after playing one of the best knocks seen
in 2010 so far. His performance has been compared with Michael Hussey’s knocks in the Twenty20 World Cup and with Abdul Razzaq’s innings in Pakistan’s recent series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757.
India are well aware of the fact that New Zealand have not won a single ODI in almost four months and they would like to keep it that way. After winning four consecutive ODIs, the Indian side is not about to surrender its winning
streak easily. The only glimmer of hope for New Zealand is the idea that if they were able to stop the famous Indian opening attack once (until Pathan opened the flood-gates) in the fourth ODI, they may be able to do it again.
The MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, one of the finest grounds in the world, is the venue for the final ODI. Fans are praying it doesn’t rain on the day of the match, as the weather in Chennai has been rather cold and wet lately.
Bangladesh plan to win
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 is playing Zimbabwe on December 10th in Chittagong in the fourth ODI of the series between the two countries. Bangladesh leads the series 2-1 and will be looking to score a series win, counting on performances
by star spinner Abdur Razzak and the opening batsmen. Bangladesh’s openers have not performed well of late and will be looking forward to breaking out of a bad phase. Left-arm spin magician Abdur Razzak, meanwhile, is on a roll, creating major problems for
the visitors.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, will be trying its best to win the game so that the fifth match becomes the decider. Their performance in the last game was unimpressive, leading to a trouncing from the home team. The good news for
Zimbabwe, though, is that skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tatenda-Taibu-c92882. It remains to be seen
whether Zimbabwe can keep the series alive and produce a dream performance on Friday.
Here is a look at the expected squads of both sides:
Zimbabwe: 1 Brendan http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Prosper-Utseya-c82728, 9 Shingirai
Masakadza / Keegan Meth, 10 Raymond http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Price-c82662, 11 Chris Mpofu
Bangladesh: 1 http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mashrafe-Mortaza-c1917, 10 Abdur Razzak, 11 Shafiul
