Cricket South Africa’s announced that it has terminated the national contract of Herchelle Gibbs. Herschelle Gibbs has remained the centre of attention in recently after he made several allegations against South African players
in his book, “To the Point”. Herschelle Gibbs has not been representing South Africa for quite some time, and has not played many matches for the Proteas. Gibbs played his last Test match in 2008 against West Indies at Durban, and since then has not been able
to play a single Test match for his side. His last One Day was back in February against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, which shows he has not been picked in the Proteas side that consistently. Herschelle Gibbs, who has always managed to keep himself in the news, is 36 now and certainly
retirement is just around the corner. As he remained under criticism from different corners, Cricket South Africa decided to end his contract that was applicable till April 2011. Whether this spells the end of his career, will remain to be seen.
