Cricket South Africa announces its squad for the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 and Pakistan

Cricket South Africa has yesterday announced its separate squads to play against Zimbabwe and Pakistan. 25 years old Colin Ingram has also been included in the limited overs squad to play against Zimbabwe and Pakistan. This is
Ingram’s maiden limited overs call up since he started professional cricket.
Fast bowler Wayne Parnell - who has just recovered from injury - has been included in all three formats. Injured AB de Villiers has been replaced by wicketkeeper Heino Kuhn for the T20 series against Zimbabwe.
South Africa’s first choice wicketkeeper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AB-de-Villiers-c887 is expected to be fit before the one-day series against Zimbabwe, which kicks off on October 15.
Fast bowler http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755. All-rounder Jacques Kallis is struggling with a neck injury that he has suffered during
the ongoing Champions League T20 while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The neck injury, which has affected the all-rounder’s lower cervical and upper thoracic spine, has ruled him out for the rest of the league. Though the injury is not serious as such, just a strain, not a tear or fracture but a
medical team of Cricket South Africa had advised Kallis to rest so that he will be fit for the forthcoming international commitments of South Africa.
Cricket South Africa’s selection convener Andrew Hudson told the media reporters that Dale Styne and Jacques Kallis are the two key players of the side, so CSA needs to manage them carefully ahead of the 2011 World Cup.
"They are two key players for the ICC World Cup next year and we need to manage them carefully," Hudson said.
Supporting Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757’s decision of not including the two players in the T20 squad, Hudson said that the World T20 tournament is a year and a half away so the main focus of the management is next year’s World Cup which
is just months away.
The selection convener also backed Ingram’s maiden call up and said that the player deserves an international appearance after giving promising performances at the domestic level. Ingram, who is currently playing for Warriors in
the Airtel Champions League T20, has been outstanding in both Standard Bank Pro20 and MTN40 domestic tournaments.
Ingram was the leading run-scorer of the 2009/10 MTN40 and has topped the run-chart of the tournament scoring 600 runs at an average of 60 and a strike-rate of 103.62. The tally of 600 runs included one century and five half-centuries
as well. His top spot in the MTN40 run-chart was followed up by leading the 2010 Standard Bank Pro20 scoring chart as well logging 283 runs at an average of 47.16 and a strike-rate of 144.38. The Warriors had won both the one-day as well as T20 domestic tournaments.
Spin bowler Robin Peterson and the right-arm medium fast bowler Rusty Theron have both been named in the T20 teams but failed to find a place in the ODI squads. Theron was also part of the South Africa side that toured http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760
in May for the 2010 World T20 tournament, but did not get a game.
"We only have a relatively small number of ODIs before the World Cup and it is our intention to go in with our strongest combination in all these matches," said Andrew Hudson.
Wayne Parnell, who got injured while warming up for this year’s IPL edition and underwent a surgery to fix that, has now been cleared to play again from next month and has been included in the all three squads.
